Eleanor O’Neill graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2013. Her graduate knitwear collection entitled 'Not all those who wander... are lost' explores the stereotypical characteristics that are given to both men and women and tries to combine them through imagery, colour and fabric. Eleanor has endeavoured to capture what may be considered female qualities, like fragility for example, by using silks, mohairs and fine gauge wools and then capture more masculine qualities by exploring different structures such as tight mock ribs, compact felted wool, heavy weaving and e-wrapping, creating more robust fabrics that still maintain a sense of fragility and beauty. Eleanor is currently working on the development of her own knitwear label, Study34.
